| While most of you were asleep last night Boonsboro firefighters along with other South County firefighters were dispatched shortly after 11pm to assist Jefferson on a working house fire and brush fire. Jefferson originally asked for Tanker 6 and very shortly afterwards asked for Engine 61 and Engine Tanker 8 before ultimately asking for Brush 6. Tanker 6 arrived and assisted with supplying water on scene, E61 and ET 8 arrived simultaneously with the crew from E61 staging while the crew from ET8 was moved up to the scene. Command released E61 and requested the crew transfer to Jefferson Station 3. Tanker 6 and ET8 were released from the scene after working and E61 returned to Station 6 at 3am. Special thanks to Mt. Aetna Volunteer Fire Department for transferring an engine to Station 6 and to the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company Station 20 for transferring ET204 to Station 8. |
