| On January 10th at approximately 1810hrs Washington County 911 Center started receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a 2 vehicle accident at Old National Pike and Benevola Newcomer Road. Company 6, RS10 and M691 were alerted to respond, while enroute Chief 10 was given updated information that there were multiple patients and that M191 was added for an additional transport unit. E61 responded with 4 and arrived shortly after RS10, crews from RS10 and E61 were informed from M691 that the drivers side doors on the pickup truck would need to be removed to gain access to the patient. Captain O’Connor established command and requested a 3rd medic unit due to the number of patients. In total 3 patients were transported to local hospitals and 2 patients refused treatment at the scene. The crew on E61 remained on scene for roughly 3 hours while the vehicles were towed and the debris was cleaned up. |
