As personal were resting after a long day of fighting the mountain fire in Mt Aetna the bells rang again around 12:45am this time for box alarm 6-11. Engine 61 Truck 6 Tanker 6 and Engine tanker 8 responded to the 21000 blk of Keadle Rd for the building on fire. As Engine 61 was approaching heavy fire was noticed from Boonsboro Mt Rd, A safety assignment and tanker task force was requested. Engine 61 arrived to find a large shop fully involved with multiple cars and a small out building on fire along with a woods fire! The officer on E-61 established the command and quickly stretched a 250 ft 2 inch line to began extinguishing fire. After crews began arriving multiple hose line’s were placed inservice to attack the fire. Crews worked for 3 hrs before clearing. Many thanks to all the mutual aide company’s that assisted! No injuries were reported during the incident. Great job to all.
