Garage/Workshop Fire for Station 6

On Monday April 16, 2012 Washington County ECC Dispatched companies 6 & 16 to Mt Lena Road for the reported "Small" shed/outbuilding on fire. Chief 16 responding from the Mapleville Road area advised of a large column of smoke advising of a working fire. Chief 16 arrived and reported a 50' x 100 Garage/Work Shop Fully involved with exposures and requested the Tanker Group. Rescue Engine 61 arrived and personnel immediately pulled one 1-3/4" attack line and proceeded to knock the fire down on the exposure side. The Building also had large piles of wooden pallets stacked up around it, and once water supply was established, crews were able to move in and limit damage to One other small outbuilding being destroyed and 3 others receiving heat damage.
