Due to the fire load and structural issues, crews initiated a defensive attack. The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes, and extensive overhaul was performed .

On the afternoon of April 12th Washington Co ECC dispatched box 10-14 for the garage fire on Cool Hollow Road. Truck 6 responded with 4,Tanker 6 with 2 and the Fire Chief responded from Boonsboro. Units from Funkstown arrived to find a well advanced garage fire in a near 7000 square-foot house.
