13:00 hours. Station 8 alerted to assist Company 11 with a large brush fire in Sandy Hook. Upon arrival, E-8-1 was assigned to protect a structure on Clark Rd. at the right flank of the fire. Meanwhile, Brush 8 assisted with a flank attack, while Gator 8 accessed the fire from the top of the mountain. The fast moving fire was started when debris and embers from a controlled burn, spread to the adjacent woods. Units cleared at 17:27 hours.
