16:32 hours. Station 8 alerted to assist for a mountain fire near the Weverton Cliffs on the Frederick County side of the mountain. Gator 8 accessed the Appalachian Trail in Weverton, as Frederick County units had no access for ATV / UTV 's. Upon reaching the scene, Gator 8 crew provided hand tools, saws, and blowers, and crew assisted with fire line implementation. Due to the rough terrain, access took about 25 minutes. However, the crews contained the fire to the eastern ridge. Units cleared at 20:40 hours.
