13:52 Hours. Station 8 alerted for the mountain fire Charles Town Pike off of Route 9. Units responded as part of the wildland group with Frederick County WildLand 7. Upon arrival, crews were assigned to contain and establish fire lines. The fire area was 15 acres approximate. Heavy felled timber and steep terrain were obstacles as well as fire in tree tops, making it a treacherous operation. The crews however, persevered and accomplished the task at hand. Units cleared at 18:30 hours.
